Project Year - 2017

Axis Dance Center

Group Project: Benedict Ezem, Omar El-Dasi, Roy Galang

Professor: Mark Dolmy

The scope of this group project combines members from Wentworth's three different architecture concentrations: Adaptive Intervention, Urbanism, and Emerging Technology.

The project focuses on designing a space for Axis Dance whose mission it is to promote and collaborate with disabled artists, by breaking the barrier between disabilities and performance. This design maximizes the exploration and opportunities of various forms of human movement in the crowded and historical site of Cambridge, MA.

The group focuses on emphasizing privacy and display throughout the building through circulation that exposes its massing as one passes through different areas.
